HELLO people. I've realised ever since examinations over, I haven't been very diligent on updating my blog, & i apologise for that because I'm out almost everyday. Actually, I CAN nip some time off to blog a little. But, I decided to keep that time for myself. (: HEHE.

If you guys watched the Olympics Closing Ceremony, you'll get this two articles: Beijing Olympics London 2012 Handover Blow to British Pride & Chinese Media attacks Boris Johnson for being "Rude, Arrogant & Disrespecful at Olympic Ceremony

Read it, pretty interesting & sadly, both are in a way criticism to London.

Anyways, Linda's birthday was today/yesterday. 17 people turned up. I think it has been quite some time since turn up rate was that high. Celebrated at Linda's house. I'll post pictures some other time. (:

I'm currently hungry, hungry & very hungry. Yesterday, I had 2 eggs at 8am for breakfast, 7 pieces of Want Want for lunch, & 1 kit-kat bar for dinner. Thats for being awake for 15 hours. Today, 1.5 strip of Chee Cheong Fun for breakfast & 1 piece of KFC chicken + some coleslaw for lunch/dinner. Oh emm geee. Ok, I think I've gotta hit the sack before Mr.Stomach starts protesting & I'll be forced to negotiate with Mr.Stomach. ):
Goodnight/Good morning.

Happy, very happy. (: HEHE.

Hello all.
Went out around 1 today. Met the dudes & babes at Raffles City Shopping Centre. Robinsons. Walked & slacked at Raffles City. Got Derek's present, met Mummy & Liu Jun ahyi. They went Equinox to eat la! Good stuff, which I haven't have the chance to eat yet. But its ok, my dinner wasn't too bad. Swensen's Almond Crusted Lamb Chops. eee. I like the mint sauce. But Jme didn't like my mint sauce & lamb. She didn't like the lamb smell.
Derek's birthday "cake" from emicakes. The tiramisu was durian flavour. So nice la! & I tried abit of Des's chocolate one. It was yummy too la! Except there's raisin inside.
Have got TDP Scholarship Preparation Workshop tomorrow. 8.30am-2.00pm.
Going out with des after that.
& I've still got the NYF essay to complete. By this Friday, or rather, this Thursday. 1000 words essay. OMG laaaaaa. I'm lost just by looking at the topics. I think I'll probably need hours to complete it. Thursday can't do touch up somemore, morning going to play badminton. Unless I skip badminton. Which I would definitely be very unwilling to do so. Aye. But I'll see my priorities first la. Getting a wee bit too worry for things. I guess I'll be really tired when Friday comes. What a busy first week of holidays la.
CLS! 15 September my results will be out. & thus the fates of my viewty & your psp will be known that day. Don't you dare chicken out ah! Heh heh!
Reminder to self: Call Maxine.

I've been neglecting my blog for a couple of days. Not my fault. Time ran tooooo fast for me to catch. Anyways I am very very tired. Went out with the same nc/np clique to ECP today. With my HONEY (: Cycled. Stinked. Headached. Homed. Headached. Tired. Computered. Attend wake, ji gor po passed away. Headached. Tired. Homed. Computering...

The word 'job' kinda turns me off now. But I don't have a choice for the sake of satisfying my materialistic wants without guilt. ): Very very depressing. I can't imagine myself slogging just for that freaking few bucks. But yeah, like I said, I don't have a choice. Out tomorrow again. Derek's birthday. Which I hadn't had any idea. Celebrating at Compass Point's Swenson.

I've been really tired. Each time before I even step out of the house I feel so tired already, & when I'm out I feel even more ridiculously tired that I don't even feel like talking unless necessary, I can only give a lot of comments about things which don't need my brain to think through though. I want to get back to who I was. When I loved talking like nobody's business. ): I feel guilty sometimes for being the shut up one.

I'm doing pretty much of a self-reflection in this post. So don't mind me. I realised I'm pretty much a person who can't express myself well. Be it emotions, in speech or whatsoever. The best way I can express myself : Words. Written words. It pisses me off sometimes the way I am. I guess I need to change.

Anyways its high time for me to hit the sack. Wished Derek happy birthday alreadyyyyyy.
Bye, till then!

Maybe I'm thinking too much again. I must be. But there again, theres really nothing attractive about me.

LOL. I finally found the reason why Billy said so. Because he saw Linda's friendster testimonial. No wonder. Hmm. But anw, Reagan's was pure coincidence. Yeah, anyways, I'm quite shagged now, so I'll make this quick one.

Met WEIHAN, derek, desmond, shun hui, jamie & linda this morning to play badminton, supposedly at 9. But a lot of latecomers, including me. =/ Badminton > Gym. I shall play more badminton. :D But I got myself a blister. Still feels raw. Linda said my hands too delicate, FUTURE TAI TAI. ((((: haha! & she scolded her hands after that. -.- My friend. Sigh! Anws, 10-11am had no courts available to play so we headed off to mac to slack. Thn went back to play from 11-12. Sweated like quite a lot.

Met my beloved at 2. Ok, as usual. I was late. =/ He gave me something...... Want to see?

Thinking of my honey makes me miss him already ):

No more impudent language. I'll be a demure girl, & be a dainty womanish female. HAHA. It should be quite feasible.

In 98 to 99% of males (human) the ring finger is longer than the index finger but the reverse is true for the female hand. Lay your hand flat on your desk (fingers together) & for males, the ring finger is probably longer than the index finger. For females the index finger will be longer (make the boy scout sign & look at your fingers.)
I'm a MALE! ):

And 林丹 (Lin Dan) won the Badminton's Men Singles last night. All the chinese hotties. They absolutely make me drool. Ooooooops. I think I sound perv. =/

Why schools shouldn't have examinations scheduled during Olympics.
Firstly, they deprieve students of watching Olympics because students want to have to study for their exams, thus missing out on the 'talk of the town'.
Secondly, students cannot concentrate studying because they want to watch Olympic games, thus not studying hard for their exams.
SO, if schools want their students to score well. They shouldn't schedule examinations during Olympics. Because WANT TO usually > HAVE TO. (Or at least, for me it is.)
The talk about execution of self-discipline is 'all talks no action'. No one can actually really really resist temptations of WANTS. Somehow.. you'll want to catch at least some snip bits of the Olympics. Don't you agree, folks?
Silver Medal, finally. Yay to Singapore!

Soon, YAY! (:

A New Beginning..........

Its weird, how I didn't use to get stress over my studies. I used to study because people said I have to, because I didn't want to disappoint my parents. But right now, I'm actually studying because I want to. Bad results, mediocre results, excellent results, it didn't use to matter.... (except that I had to face a little guilt each time I had to report to my parents about bad results) I wasn't once, affected by my grades, (but of course, good results always calls for celebration).

The day when O'level result was to be announced, everyone around me were excited, anxious, nervous, in jitters. But I didn't understand that heart-stopping anxiety, which almost everyone experienced (the BlackJack syndrome) -"take in a deep b-r-e-a-t-h-e, peep, cover, thn peep again at the result slip, & when they finally summon enough courage, they decide to just flip it over, and face what they have to, be it good or bad"- there & then.

So, now on to polytechnic - where it was supposed to be carefree, no stress - I start getting affected by my results. Even breaking down once for Compro. & the more I get affected, the more I feel I'm getting worse. I do hope to make my parents proud, to achieve beyond their expectations, but its getting increasingly difficult to do so. No, I am definitely not stressed out, or under huge pressure. I know very well that I'm not putting in much effort, hugging legs for every single test, or praying hard that it all turns out fine, I'm still doing so for my sem exams, ha, maybe, its time to become a different person.

Say hello, to future me! (:

I came across this. (**Read blue words only, if you're lazy)

By Belinda Goldsmith
BEIJING (Reuters) - The Sydney Olympics ran out. Athens doubled the number. So organizers of the Beijing Games are hoping 100,000 condoms will satisfy the needs of Olympic athletes.
While sex is not an Olympic sport, it is expected to be an activity in the Beijing village housing 10,500 athletes, all of whom are in great shape and with plenty of free time on their hands once knocked out of the Games.
Athletes have received free condoms at every Olympics since Barcelona in 1992 to help raise awareness of AIDS, and Beijing is no exception.
"There are many young, strong, single people in the athletes' village and, like everywhere, some will fall in love or other things so we need to make condoms available," Ole Hansen, spokesman for UNAIDS China, told Reuters.
"A lot of these young people are not married or in relationships so we want to make sure they have the information and tools to protect themselves if they have sexual encounters."
The UNAIDS, the Beijing organizing committee BOCOG and International Olympics Committee are providing 100,000 condoms as part of a campaign on HIV prevention and anti-discrimination.
At the Sydney Games in 2000 athletes quickly exhausted a supply of 70,000 and another 20,000 had to be brought in.
The Foundation for AIDS Research, amfAR, said 100,000 were distributed at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics in 2002 after a plan to distribute 250,000 condoms met protests by religious groups and was scaled back. At Athens in 2004 about 130,000 condoms were distributed.
Hansen said the number available at Beijing was based on previous Games' experience and in keeping with previous Olympics would be available at medical centers at athletes' centers in Beijing, Qingdao and Hong Kong rather than put in rooms.
"We have people here from all religions and cultural backgrounds, some of whom may feel uncomfortable or offended with condoms in their room," he said.
To be discreet, two condoms are tucked inside every a brochure about HIV that are available at medical centers.
"No one can see that you are carrying condoms to save any embarrassment," said Hansen.
"People are encouraged to take the leaflets and to take as many as they like. They can use them or take them home for friends and spread the knowledge and awareness."
Chinese condom makers have jumped on the Olympics bandwagon.
One manufacturer, Elasun, has come up with a set of cheeky advertisements featuring a stickman swimming over a rippled condom that looks like a wave, riding two condom rings like a bicycle, and using a condom as a basketball hoop.
Condoms depicting the five Olympics mascots are also for sale on various online sites although nowhere to be seen in official merchandise stories.

Source: Reuters

Condom depicted as wave ripples:

Condom as Gymnastic Rings:

Condoms as Archery Board:

Basketball hoop:

LOL?

& then while searching for the condom pictures......... I came across the World's Largest Swimming Pool:

Located in the South American resort of San Alfonso del Mar in Chile, this artificial lagoon and swimming pool is 8 hectares in size.
Stretches 1km in length, & equivalent to 6,000 standard domestic pools.
Imagine swimming in there. Half a lap(as in "to"; 1 lap = to & fro) can already make you tired.

& another Guinness World Record:
Maxi Mounds (which I believe I have shown to many many of my friends, LOL!)
World's Largest Augmented Boobs

Seriously have to hit the books. I feel the stress. Ohmygawd. No more group study attempts. Yesterday's gym session as Desmond said, was a mistake. We couldn't find a proper place to fit all 8 of us. & so spent a whole lot of time eating, looking for a proper space & talking at Mac.
Alan Yeo Ming Han. This guy is Jamie's bff, as well as my schoolmate for 10years, or 13 years-to-be. He was helping Jamie with her stuffs, how gay.

Met up with my sweetieeeee todayyyyyy. ((((((: Its been 3-4 months since i last saw her. Aww. She's still as pretty as she is, Original plan was to study.. But we had to catch up with each other, so.. spent >2 hours talking to each other. BUT, i did finish 2 tutorials. & she was complaining about her ITB.. Hahaha. She's still the same old lousy-with-IT her. =/ HEHE. We're going to meet up soon again I think since both our holidays are coming up soon. YAY!

Small eyes no eye makeup vs. big eyes with eye makeup. Hmm..

Was out with bf yesterdayyyy. Sis saw us. She might use that to threaten me in the near future. Judging from past experience. Sighhhhhhh. LOL.

Bf spotted this kissing couple fish:

And this poor fishy who apparently was swimming on its side, & thn after that, upside down. It was also the fish who ate the last pellet, bf said maybe its the last pellet that caused it to be like that. -.-

bf asked me to take this down: (Osim iGallop...... with majority of kids on them)

Eh. bf said the ee-or was purple. So I took it down. Ok, so now... Ee-or is supposed to be blue or purple?

Fish & Co. Jungle Freeze. Apparently.. I forgot to take a photo of teh seafood platter until the plate was empty.

I've decided. In a bid to satisfy my materialistic needs. I shall be working this holiday, maybe 3/4days a week. & also, I'll be cutting down on money spent on food & entertainment, & use the money on material things instead.
So, in the next 2 months:
1) spend <$10 on every meal (unless its for special occasion)
2) no K. (not that I like/liked k-ing anyways, lol)
3) less movies (unless its a really must-catch film!)
4) strictly no snacks, unnecessary f&b (I'll be able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone this way, ha)

Hmm.... hopefully.. my skin would be back to the way it shd be soon. Its costing my parents a bomb. Sighhhhhhhhhhhh. Mum is always worried about it too. Hmm.

I'm planning to have my blog address change. "mmmalicious" sounds "malicious" which is obviously sooooo unlike me! (: LOL. yes. I shall make a change, soon. When I have the time. When I have the mood.

Hitting the gym tomorrow with Desmond, Alan, Derek, Jamie & WEIHAN! (: Studying after that.

Ms.Huang, STUDY HARD! You're lagging far behind. & quite screwed.

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY FELLOW SINGAPOREANS!

Attended NP's National Day Celebration yesterday. Definitely better than NC's National Day Celebrations. But but but.... I began reminiscing those times in red cross. Parade commanding & footdrill, I really miss those times in Red Cross. (bf says I walk with the "footdrill" style, he always laughs at it) Hmm. Might join VI course end of this year. I love Red Cross. (: Hopefully.. VI camp don't clash with CT!

So, last night I was watching the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony... 08/08/08, 8:08pm. Its also dubbed as "High-tech Olympics"

The Bird's Nest

They say thats how you get the Beijing Olympics Logo:

Hmm. I'm wondering if the hotels have this in the toilet?

Fireworks from the stadium, marking the opening of Beijing Olympics 2008.

This is what I call synchronising. A few thousand, without any melody or whatsoever, & they could sychronise even better than any performance of NDP.

Look at the way they march....... Its cute. But its really straight too.

Hmm?

These people are.. woah. I bet the thing they're holding is freaking heavy.

Ok, this was really good. I swear.

Famous Chinese gymnast & entrepreneur, Li Ning completing the final Olympic Torch Relay. The scroll unrolling at this point kind of screwed up though. Dad said the fellow in-charge is so so so dead, since the Chinese are real perfectionist.

For a moment, I feared for him. The fire looked/was huge.

JANG JANG! Olympic Cauldron lit.

Fireworks display. The night's fireworks must have cost a bomb.

The performers... the synchronisation & the formation, I would say its 100 times better than any uniform group parade/performance in Singapore. They formed ultra uber straight lines, & thats with a freaking few thousand people. Those who missed it, you have got to watch the repeat telecast! If there is anymore other than this morning 6am & last night 11:30pm...

The incorporation of all the high tech features, its no wonder that it costs so much. & in order to make sure that rain don't dampen Olympics Opening, Beijing mobilised all its science and engineering capability, including satellite monitoring and cloud seeding, to prevent rain from spoiling the extensively expected Olympic opening ceremony. WOW that.

.
Numbers, Olympic Ceremony:
- $100 million: A low estimate for the cost of the opening ceremony. That's about $476,000 per minute and almost $8,000 per second and more than twice the cost of the 2004 Athens opening ceremony
- 35,000: The number of fireworks set off during the ceremony.
- 2,583: The number of lights used during the show, drawing 6,440 kilowatts
- 91,000: The number of spectators at National Stadium

.
Dad told me that tickets for the Opening Ceremony for the VIP gallery(6/cabin) was RMB 180,000. ie. SGD 36,889.70.... Dad was saying if his father was still around, he'll be really proud. I feel proud too, having China roots. My grandparents, my Dad, feel proud too. Having stayed & studied in China for 2-3 years, & going back every year for 9 years odd after that... I kinda feel embarrased now that I have such bad Chinese standard. Its time for me to improve my Chinese standard, & one of these days, I'll be returning to China. I shall show the photo of my house in Shanghai last time soon. Aye. Those memories............ I just love them. I love my childhood. Its weird huh. Being a Singaporean, & its National Day, I'm blogging about China instead. =/

.
Last but not least, I shall end off with a random picture.

I want my papaya salad!
